Chalet Blanc is situated in the beautiful farming village of Châtel at the top of the Abondance valley which begins at Lake Geneva. Châtel is part of the Portes du Soleil mountain region which offers endless sporting and leisure opportunities during the summer months.

Walking
The Portes du Soleil has over 300km of well marked walking routes weaving through France and Switzerland. The ski lifts open up to allow access to some of the most spectacular mountain and lake scenes, as well as the flora and fauna typical of the area. We can help you plan your routes or book you a guide, provide picnic lunches and arrange transport as needed.
Biking
With 650km of marked tracks through 14 different resorts, bike parks, biker cross and slalom courses the area has become renowned for world class mountain biking. And there’s something for every ability with the trails marked according to their difficulty, just like ski slopes. We can arrange bike and equipment hire or bring your bike with you and we’ll transport it from the airport.
If you prefer your bike wheels a little slimmer you’ll love the range of mountain road biking available from Chalet Blanc. We can suggest some great routes to match your ability and take in the amazing local sights plus we can provide technical support / roadside assistance if required.
Golf
The area plays host to a number of fine golf courses, from the prestigious Evian Masters on the shores of Lake Geneva to spectacular mountain courses such as Les Gets and Villars, where the views from each hole are simply breathtaking. Water
From white water rafting down the river Dranse, swimming in the outdoor pool in Châtel, relaxing in one of the many Swiss spas or wake boarding on Lake Geneva, if you like getting wet there’s a huge range of activities to choose from.
Climbing
Test your agility and head for heights with some of the excellent local rock climbing or Via Ferrata (rock faces fitted out with cables, hand rails, rungs and foot bridges). Most equipment can be hired locally and we can book guides or lessons for you.
Flying
Châtel is the home of the Fantasticable. The only ride of its kind, it’s an exhilarating zip wire 240m above the ground from one mountain peak to another, reaching speeds of up to 100km/h – it’s sure to get your adrenaline flowing!
